Fletching is a skill which allows the player to create various types of ranged weapons and their ammunition. Please refer to the Fletching Skill guide for more details on the skill.
This article gives you tips on how to train the Fletching skill on RoatPKZ.
Starting off
To start training Fletching you can type ::Fletching in game to teleport to the Fletching Tutor. The Fletching Tutor will sell you supplies to start training the skill. See the below table for details on what supplies you can purchase.
Zero time methods
These are the fastest methods to train Fletching because there is no animation stall between actions. However it requires work in advance to use this method on RoatPKZ. In order to obtain necessary materials you will have to smith them yourself.
Darts
Bolts
Semi-zero time methods
Semi-zero time methods are methods that The actions are done every two game ticks (1.2 seconds) and in sets of 10 or 15, requiring periodic requeueing to make another set. Same as the above method. These methods will require to you smith the materials in advance.
Arrows
Javelins
No requirement methods
Level 1-5/10: Headless Arrows
The best way to get from level 1 to level 5 is by fletching arrow shafts, which give 25 experience per log
- Experience needed: 388/1154
- Logs needed to Level 5/10: 16/47
- to level 5/10: 320/940
Level 5-99: Bows
Making bows is a very slow method of training Fletching, but it requires a low amount of effort. Fletching unstrung bows is more AFK-able but yields less experience per hour, stringing bows is faster but requires paying more attention. Since fletching unstrung bows takes 3-ticks per bow, fletching an inventory takes 48.6 seconds; stringing bows takes 2-ticks per bow which makes an inventory take 16.8 seconds to string.
This section will show the time and number of either logs or unstrung bows and bowstrings needed to reach level 99 if switching to each newly unlocked bow type you can fletch as soon as possible, along with the amounts of the materials involved: logs, bow strings, unstrung bows and finished bows.
The below table assumes 1,700 bows are fletched per hour, and 2,450 bows are strung per hour.
