The Barrows is a series of six burial mounds east of Mort'ton in which the Barrows brothers were entombed after their deaths during the Third Age. 'Barrows' also commonly refers to the minigame-like dungeon-delving experience of looting the chest at the centre of the tunnels beneath the crypts, released on 9 May 2005.

Players can attempt to rob valuable items from the Barrows brothers' crypts. However, due to an ancient spell, the brothers' wights continued to dwell in the barrows, protecting these treasures.

Looting the Barrows is popular due to the potential of receiving valuable rewards, including the unique Barrows equipment, with increasingly valuable rewards for killing more monsters in the crypts, including the Barrows brothers themselves.

In the miniquest His Faithful Servants players are tasked to slay all six Barrows brothers and then loot the chest for the strange icon. Completing the miniquest rewards some Prayer experience and the ability to use your minimap within the Barrows tunnels.

Getting there

1. (Red) Using the Barrows Teleport (tab) is the quickest route.
2. (Blue, Green and Orange) Using the Mort'ton minigame teleport, Mort'ton teleport scroll and Morytania legs 3 & 4 are good alternatives to players who don't have access to the Barrows teleport.
3. (Pink and Light blue) Travelling using the Swamp Boaty is a valid method for ironmen who don't have access to abovementioned options.
4. (Yellow) Using the BIP fairy ring is the longest of the routes, but takes the player close to the Nature Grotto, which players can visit to restore their prayer points.

There are several different methods for travelling to the Barrows. The best options, ordered from fast to slow, are:

• Casting Barrows Teleport in the Arceuus spellbook, which requires 83 Magic, or using a Barrows teleport tablet or portal will teleport the player right next to the entrance.
• If the player is not an ironman, they may attempt to visit a player-owned house on a house party world with a portal nexus for a quick and cheap teleport.
• Using the Mort'ton teleport scroll and then running east to Barrows.
• Using the Morytania legs 3 or 4 to Burgh de Rott and running north through Mort'ton towards Barrows.
• Using the Grouping interface to teleport to Shades of Mort'ton. This requires completion of the Shades of Mort'ton quest. This method is free and takes up no inventory or equipment spaces, though there is a 20-minute cooldown between uses.
• Use Drakan's medallion to teleport to Ver Sinhaza, leave through the western door, run south-west to board the boat to Burgh de Rott, and run north through Mort'ton to Barrows (requires completion of A Taste of Hope)
• Kharyrll Teleport (requires completion of Desert Treasure I) to Canifis, use the Myreque Hideout shortcut south of the pub and run south to cross the rope bridge. Continue running south until reaching Swamp Boaty and use the travel option to travel to Mort'ton. Run east from here.
• Using the fairy ring code BKR and running south-east until reaching Swamp Boaty and use the travel option to travel to Mort'ton. Run east from here.
• At 50 Agility, players can use the fairy ring code BIP, go east, and south, following the path through Mort'ton.
• Run east from Canifis, then south through the swamp. Turn east at the northmost hunter spot, loop around to the other nearby hunter spot, then run south-west to the swamp exit.
