The Dragon scimitar is a one-handed slash weapon that needs 60 Attack. It attacks every 4 ticks (2.4 seconds) with +67 slash attack and +66 strength. It is free from the Melee Accessories shop at home, and its special attack switches off the target's protection prayers for 5 seconds, which makes it a useful weapon against players who rely on Protect from Melee.

Special attack
The special attack costs 55% special attack energy and is a single hit with the attack roll multiplied by 1.5, checked against the target's slash defence. The damage is not boosted.
If the hit deals damage to a player, their Protect from Magic, Protect from Range and Protect from Melee are switched off and they get the message "You have been injured!". For the next 5 seconds they cannot turn on any overhead prayer (the three protection prayers, Smite, Redemption or Retribution). Against monsters the special is only a more accurate hit.

Other uses
- Dealing PvP damage with the Dragon scimitar or the Dragon scimitar (or) counts towards the easy daily task to deal 1,500 PvP damage with a Dragon scimitar.
