Best in slot

Best in slot (the Roat Pkz - Best In Slot Items window) ranks the items for each equipment slot by the stat you choose, from Stab attack to Prayer. Pick a stat and the paper doll shows the best item for every slot, while the list shows the top 50 for the slot you've selected. From there you can buy an item on the Trading post, take it or equip it from your bank, or spawn it for free if anyone can spawn it. The rule to remember: the ranking only looks at the one stat you picked. The highest Strength bonus isn't always the best weapon, so check its speed and other bonuses too.

You can't open it during a duel or a gamble.

The Best in slot window

The weapon slot ranked by Strength. The Elder maul (or) is first with +147; the side panel shows its bonuses, the levels it needs and its Trading Post price.

• Stat menu (top left): the stat to rank by.
• Paper doll: the best item in every slot for that stat. Click a slot to list its items.
• Filters (bottom left): Level Relative, My Items Only and Only Spawnables.
• Item list (middle): the top 50 for the slot, with their rank, the stat and the price. Two-handed weapons say (2h).
• Side panel (right): the selected item's full stats and price.

Slots and stats

• 11 slots: Head, cape, necklace, ammunition, weapon, chest, shield, legs, gloves, boots and ring.
• 14 stats
  • Attack: Stab, Slash, Crush, Magic and Ranged.
  • Defence: Stab, Slash, Crush, Magic and Ranged.
  • Other: Strength, Ranged Strength, Magic Damage and Prayer.

• Custom items and holiday items aren't in the rankings.
• When two items tie, the one with the better matching attack bonus comes first: the best melee attack for Strength, Ranged attack for Ranged Strength, and Magic attack for Magic Damage. After that, the more valuable item comes first.
• The window starts on the weapon slot, ranked by Stab attack. It keeps your slot, stat and filters until you log out.

Filters

Filter	What it shows
Level Relative	Reveal only gear your current skills allow you to wield. The list updates as soon as your combat levels change.
My Items Only	Reveal only gear you currently own in your bank, inventory, or free. It checks your bank, inventory and worn items when you open the window, and items anyone can spawn always count.
Only Spawnables	Reveal only gear that's spawnable (free).

My Items Only and Only Spawnables can't be on together: ticking one unticks the other. Level Relative works with either.

The side panel

The panel on the right shows the item you've selected in the list:

• Attack and Defence: its Stab, Slash, Crush, Magic and Range bonuses.
• Other Bonuses: Strength, Ranged Strength, Magic Damage and Prayer.
• Levels Needed: Attack, Strength, Defence, Hitpoints, Ranged, Magic and Prayer. A green level means you have it, a red one means you don't, and a dash means there's no requirement.
• Item Price: Trading Post Price, what the item has recently sold for on the Trading Post. When there isn't enough sales data it shows the estimate instead, and items you can spawn say FREE.

Right-click options

Right-click an item in the list, or on the paper doll, for these options:

Buy in Trading Post	Opens the Trading Post's buy window for the cheapest offer. The option shows that price, tax included. Stackable items ask how many you want. It's struck through when none are for sale or the item can't be traded.	Rare items
Take From Bank	Moves the item from your bank to your inventory. The option shows how many you have in your bank, and stackable items ask how many to take.	Rare items
Equip From Bank	Puts the item on straight from your bank.	Rare items

Examine	Shows the item's price and where it comes from in your chat.	All

Equip All

The small figure with a green arrow, at the top left of the paper doll, is Equip All. It asks Would you like to attempt to equip all the items? Click Yes - equip! to put on the item shown in each slot:

• items anyone can spawn are spawned straight into your equipment;
• items you own are put on from your inventory or your bank;
• rare items you don't own are skipped.

With a two-handed weapon, the shield is skipped. Arrows and bolts are only put on when you rank by a Ranged stat.

Where you can use it

You can look at the window anywhere except in a duel or a gamble, but its actions have rules:

Action	Where it works
Buy in Trading Post, Take From Bank, Equip From Bank	In a safe zone and while you're not under attack. Otherwise your chat says You can only do this in a Safe Zone or while not under attack. Taking and equipping from the bank also need a place where you can use your bank.
Spawn Item To Inventory, Spawn Item To Equipment	Wherever you can spawn items.

Show worn equipment

The figure icon in the top-left corner of the window switches to your worn equipment and its stats, the same view as Equipment stats. Click it again to go back to the rankings.

Good to know

• Tick Only Spawnables and click Equip All to put on the best free gear for the chosen stat in one go.
• The list shows each item's estimated price from the price guide. The side panel shows its Trading Post price.
• Bought or found something new? Reopen the window so My Items Only sees it.
• Armour/Highest bonuses has recommended setups for each combat style.
