Mystery Boxes
Spin a box for one of its rewards, or Quick-Open it straight away. Mystery Box Rewards shows every reward of every box and what each one is worth.

Mystery boxes are boxes you open for one random reward. The donator boxes are sold in the store, the Vote Mystery Box comes from Voting, and the crates and coolers in the same list come from the Collection log, Last Man Standing, Tournaments, the Slayer Shop, skilling and the 2026 Summer event. Open a box to spin for your prize in the spinner, or Quick-Open it to skip the spin. The Mystery Box Rewards window lists every reward of every box with its PKP value, so you can see what you could win before you open one.

Opening a box
Right-click a box in your inventory to open it.
| Option | What it does |

| Open | Opens the spinner for that box. Click OPEN BOX! to spin for your prize. |
| Quick-Open | Opens the box straight away, without the spinner. Your prize goes into your inventory, and a chat message tells you what you got and what it's worth. |
- Each box gives one reward. If you win more than one of an item, it comes noted when it can be noted.
- Opening a box (except a Vote Mystery Box) plays an animation everyone nearby can see: the box flies out and bursts open, and your prize flies back to you. Big wins add fireworks.
- Rewards from the boxes and crates in Mystery Box Rewards count towards their own pages in the Collection log.
Where you can't open a box

The spinner
The spinner for a Mystery Box, before the spin. The strip shows the box's rewards and their PKP values.
The title shows the box you're opening, and Feeling Lucky? tells you the value of its best reward.

OPEN BOX! spins the strip. The button reads SPINNING... while it runs.
View Rewards! opens Mystery Box Rewards on this box. GO BACK brings you back to the spinner.

When the spin stops, a pop-up shows your prize and its PKP value. Click Claim Item! to take it. You can't lose a prize once the spin has started:
- If you close the window during the spin, the prize is added to your inventory straight away.
- If you leave the pop-up open, the prize is added for you after a short while.
Mystery Box Rewards
The Mystery Box Rewards window shows what every box can give. You can open it in several ways:

The list on the left holds every box. Click one to see its rewards.
The rewards on the right are sorted from most to least valuable. The number under each reward is its value in PKP, and a small number in the corner is how many you get.
AVG is the box's average reward value.
MIN and MAX are the values of its cheapest and most valuable rewards.

Reward values come from the server's price estimates (see Item prices), so they can change over time.

For every reward of a box and its current value, open the box in Mystery Box Rewards. Most store boxes are also Credit Spend milestone rewards.
Some other boxes open with the same spinner but aren't in the list, such as the 
Scroll Mystery Box, the 
BH Scroll Mystery Box, the 
Stardust Mystery Box and the boxes from past holiday events.
Big wins
When you win one of a box's top prizes, everyone online sees a message with your name, the item, its value and how many of that box you've opened. A big win also sets off fireworks around you.
Tips
- Click View Rewards! in the spinner, or use
::mboxes, to check a box's rewards before you open it. - Use Quick-Open when you have a stack of boxes to get through.
- Examine an item to see in chat which mystery boxes it can come from.
- Closing the spinner in the middle of a spin doesn't cost you the prize.
- You can't open boxes in PvP areas, so open them at home before you head out.
- For PvP crates and event chests, such as the Bronze Crate or the Wilderness Chest, see PvP crates.
