The Skilling Crate is a reward crate you can find at random while training your skills. It was added in the February 2026 update. Open it for one reward: skilling tools, resources or Skilling points.
Getting a crate
- Every skilling action, such as cutting a log, catching a fish or finishing an agility lap, has a small chance of giving you a Skilling Crate. You get the message You have received a skilling crate for your efforts. and the crate goes into your inventory, or onto the ground if your inventory is full.
- The crate is twice as likely while you skill in the Wilderness or in the Royal and Divine skilling dungeons.
- Other players see a message when someone gets a crate, saying which skill they were training.
- The crate is tradeable and stackable, so you can also buy it from other players.
Opening
Use Open to spin for your reward, or Quick-Open to get it straight away. It opens like a mystery box, so you can't open it in the Wilderness or while under attack. The Mystery Box Rewards window (::mboxes) lists every reward with its PK point value, and each reward you get is added to the Skilling Crate page of the Collection log (Boxes tab).
Rewards
A Skilling Crate gives one of these:
- Tools: Crystal axe, Crystal pickaxe, Crystal harpoon, Infernal axe, Infernal pickaxe, Infernal harpoon, Magic butterfly net, Magic secateurs, Goldsmith gauntlets, Celestial ring, Ring of endurance, Holy water, Crafting apron and Fletching knife.
- Big stacks of resources: runite and adamantite ore and bars, amethyst, redwood, magic and yew logs, raw anglerfish, dark crabs and sharks, uncut zenyte and onyx, pure and daeyalt essence, flax, bow and crossbow strings, magic stocks, unstrung magic bows, onyx and amethyst bolt tips, torstol and dwarf weed seeds, magic and dragonfruit saplings, impling jars and box traps.
- A disassembled Chugging barrel.
- 500,000 Skilling points.
