God capes

God capes are three free magic capes: the Saradomin cape, the Zamorak cape and the Guthix cape. They have no requirements and the same bonuses: +10 magic attack and +10 magic defence, plus +1 stab, +1 slash and +2 crush defence. The only difference between them is which god spells they block. They are free in the Magic Accessories shop at ::shops, and the god statues in the chamber next to the Mage Bank also give them out. They cannot be traded. The stronger Imbued god capes come from Kolodion in the Mage Bank and are not made from these capes.

God spells

While you wear a god cape, you cannot cast the god spells of the other two gods. If you try, the game tells you The conflicting powers of staff and cape drive them apart. The same rule applies to the imbued god capes and to the god max capes. You do not need a god cape to cast a god spell.

How to get it	Free	From Kolodion, see Imbued god capes

If you have a Max cape, use a god cape on it to make the matching god max cape and hood: Saradomin max cape, Zamorak max cape or Guthix max cape. The god max cape has the same bonuses as the god cape. Disassemble on it gives back the god cape, the Max cape and the Max hood.

How to get them

• Magic Accessories shop: all three capes are free in the Magic Accessories shop at ::shops.
• God statues: teleport to the Mage Bank (::mb) and step into the sparkling pool there to reach the chamber of the god statues; another sparkling pool takes you back. Use Pray-at on the Statue of Saradomin, Zamorak or Guthix and that god's cape appears on the floor under you. Only you can see it, and it disappears after about 18 seconds, so pick it up straight away.
• The capes cannot be traded.
