The Light ballista is a two-handed ranged weapon that requires level 65 Ranged and fires javelins. It is the lower-level version of the Heavy ballista: it has the same speed, range and special attack, and its +110 Ranged attack equals the Zaryte crossbow's, but it has no Ranged strength of its own. It needs 10 fewer Ranged levels than the Heavy ballista and is much cheaper. Players can compare both in the ::bis interface.

It attacks every 7 ticks (6 on Rapid) and has an attack range of 9 (10 on Longrange). It can fire any javelins up to dragon javelins, and every javelin it fires is used up.
Special attack
The special attack costs 65% special attack energy. It fires one javelin with a 25% higher max hit and 50% more accuracy, exactly like the Heavy ballista's special attack.

The Heavy ballista hits harder and more accurately; the Light ballista is the choice when your Ranged level is between 65 and 74 or when you want to risk less.
