The Vyrewatch Sentinel was the event monster of the 2025 Halloween event, which ran from 13 October to 17 November 2025. Players summoned it by digging with a spade in the event area in the Wilderness, and killed it for Halloween tokens. The tokens were spent at ::hween on the event rewards, such as the Bronze, Silver and Gold Candy Bowls and the pumpkin mask.
The event's boss was the Pumpkin Beast, which dropped the Pet Pumpkin Beast (2025).
Summoning one
- Talk to Death at home (
::hween) and take the Spooky Portal to the event area, in single-way Wilderness above level 30. - Pick up a spade and dig into the haunted soil.
- A Vyrewatch Sentinel rose from the ground next to you and attacked straight away, with a line such as "Beware, mortal, the Vyrewatch is here!"
Each sentinel belonged to the player who dug it up, and only that player could fight it. You could only have one at a time. If you walked more than 10 tiles away from it or logged out, it disappeared.
Fight overview
- You needed a combat level of 126 to attack it.
- It attacked with slash and hit up to 17. Protect from Melee only cut its damage in half.
- It was immune to poison and venom.
Rewards
- Halloween tokens. Players could also earn tokens from player kills during the event.
- Sentinel kills are still listed in your kill counts (
::killcount).
The Vyrewatch Sentinel did not drop a pet. The event's two pets came from the Gold Candy Bowl (Pet Spooky dog (2025)) and from the Pumpkin Beast (Pet Pumpkin Beast (2025)).
