3rd age melee armour

3rd age melee armour is a rare set of melee armour made of the 3rd age full helmet, 3rd age platebody, 3rd age platelegs (or the 3rd age plateskirt, which has the same stats) and 3rd age kiteshield. Every piece needs level 65 Defence. Its value comes from its rarity: every piece is worth hundreds of thousands of PK points. It also has strong defence for its requirement: among gear in the ::bis interface that needs 65 Defence or less, the platebody has the highest slash and crush defence of any body, the platelegs and plateskirt have the highest stab, slash and crush defence of any legs, and the kiteshield has the highest stab, slash and crush defence of any shield. The set has no strength or prayer bonus.

The Mimic

The plateskirt and the kiteshield are not on the Mimic's table. To fight the Mimic you need a Mimic casket, which you can find when you finish an elite or master clue scroll. If a Mimic scroll is in your inventory when you finish an elite or master clue, you get a Mimic casket and the scroll is used up; the scroll costs 300 Slayer points in the Slayer shop. Take the casket to the Strange Casket at ::clues to start the fight.
