Aranea boots are hybrid boots with no requirements. They give +5 magic attack, +6 ranged attack, +4 melee strength and +1 prayer, but no defence. Among boots in the ::bis list that need no Defence, none has more magic attack or melee strength, and only Ranger boots have more ranged attack, so one pair covers all three styles on low-Defence hybrids and tribrids. They also let you get past spider webs (see below). They cost 2,500 BHP in the Bounty Hunter shop.

Effect

• Spider webs: with the boots on, clicking a spider web makes you crawl straight through it. You do not need a slashing weapon or a knife, it never fails, and the web stays up.
• Venenatis: the webs that Venenatis and Divine Venenatis spread deal 3 damage every game tick you stand on them. The boots block one of those hits at most once every 8 game ticks (4.8 seconds).
• Theatre of Blood: Verzik Vitur's webs in her final phase cannot trap you. If a web expires while you stand on it, the boots can also block its damage, at most once every 8 game ticks.
