This monster was part of the 2024 Christmas event and can no longer be fought.

The Ice Kalphite Soldier was the event monster of the 2024 Christmas event. Players summoned it by digging with a spade in the event area in the Wilderness, and killed it for Christmas tokens. The tokens were spent at ::xmas on the event rewards, such as the Bronze, Silver and Golden Stockings and the Antisanta outfit.

The event's boss was the Ice Queen.

Summoning one

1. Talk to Santa at home (::xmas) and take the Christmas Portal to the event area, in single-way Wilderness above level 45.
2. Pick up a spade and dig in the snow.
3. An Ice Kalphite Soldier burst out of the ground next to you and attacked straight away.

Each soldier belonged to the player who dug it up, and only that player could fight it. You could only have one at a time. If you walked more than 10 tiles away from it or logged out, it disappeared.

Fight overview

• You needed a combat level of 126 to attack it.
• It attacked with melee and hit up to 20. Protect from Melee only cut its damage in half.
• It was immune to poison and venom.

Rewards

• Christmas tokens. Players could also earn tokens from player kills during the event.
• Soldier kills are still listed in your kill counts (::killcount).

The Ice Kalphite Soldier did not drop a pet. The event's two pets came from the Golden Stocking (Pet Imp (2024)) and from the Ice Queen (Pet Ice Queen (2024)).
