The Ice Queen was the holiday boss of the 2024 Christmas event. She appeared in the Wilderness every 3 hours, and many players fought her together. Everyone who damaged her was rewarded with Christmas tokens or Golden Stockings, and she was the only source of the Pet Ice Queen (2024).
She was weak to magic and ranged: she had high melee defence but no magic or ranged defence.
Spawns
The Ice Queen spawned 8 times a day while the event was running, at these server times:
- 02:45, 05:45, 08:45, 11:45, 14:45, 17:45, 20:45 and 23:45
She appeared at one of four spots in the Wilderness: three in single-way areas and one in a multi-way area. Players could teleport to her with ::ice. A glowing light marked the spot shortly before she appeared, and a message was sent to everyone when she was killed, with the number of players who fought her and the total value of the loot.
Fight overview
- You needed a combat level of 126 to attack her.
- Any number of players could attack her, even in a single-way area, and she attacked everyone who had hit her at the same time.
- Her hitpoints grew with the number of players: 5,000 plus 2,000 for every player who joined the fight.
- Her magic attack hit up to 40, and her ranged attack, which she used now and then, hit up to 50. Protection prayers only cut her damage in half.
- Special attack: she called "BZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!" and Christmas stockings rained down on up to 30 marked tiles around her, including the tiles the players fighting her stood on. Anyone still standing on a marked tile when a stocking landed took 25 to 45 damage, so you had to move as soon as the marks appeared. Each stocking stayed on the ground where it landed, and anyone could pick it up. She used this attack up to 11 times per spawn.
- If everyone left her and nobody was within 40 tiles, she healed back to full health.
Rewards
When the Ice Queen died, every player who damaged her was rewarded based on their own damage:

Players who dealt more than 500 damage also had a 1/200 chance of the Pet Ice Queen (2024).
