Obsidian armour

Obsidian armour is a set of melee armour made of the Obsidian helmet, Obsidian platebody and Obsidian platelegs. Every piece needs level 60 Defence. The set gives +7 melee strength (+3 helmet, +3 platebody, +1 platelegs) and, unlike most metal armour, has no magic or ranged attack penalty. Worn as a full set with an obsidian melee weapon, it raises your melee accuracy and max hit by 10%. The pieces are cheap: 750 PK points for the set in the Pk point shop. In the ::bis interface the helmet's +3 melee strength matches the Helm of neitiznot.

Set effect

The effect needs all three armour pieces and one of these weapons:

• Toktz-xil-ak
• Tzhaar-ket-em
• Tzhaar-ket-om
• Tzhaar-ket-om (t)

With them you get +10% melee accuracy and +10% melee max hit. Other weapons do not count, and the armour alone gives no bonus. The four normal weapons are free in the Melee Accessories shop at ::shops, and the Tzhaar-ket-om (t) is made with a Tzhaar-ket-om ornament kit from the Bounty Hunter shop.

The effect stacks with the Berserker necklace, which adds 20% max hit with the same weapons. With both, your max hit is about 32% higher (the necklace's 20% is applied first, then the armour's 10%).

Full set: +7 melee strength, +126 stab, +144 slash, +123 crush, -25 magic and +124 ranged defence. No piece has an attack bonus or an attack penalty.

How to get it

Shop

The Pk point shop sells every piece for PK points:

• Obsidian helmet: 150
• Obsidian platebody: 300
• Obsidian platelegs: 300

Other sources

• Clue scrolls: all three pieces are possible rewards from easy reward caskets, and the platebody and platelegs from hard reward caskets.
• Crates and boxes: Vote Mystery Box (any piece) and the small (bronze) tier of some holiday event boxes (platebody or platelegs).
• Trading post: all pieces are tradeable.

Other uses

• The easy daily task "Deal 1,500 PvP damage while wearing full Obsidian" needs the helmet, platebody and platelegs; any weapon counts.
• Clue scroll steps sometimes ask you to wear an obsidian piece.
