The Purging staff is a staff that needs 50 Attack and 77 Magic to wield. It autocasts standard spellbook spells and also works as a crush weapon (+83 crush attack, +62 melee strength). It is dropped by Tormented demons and counts as a demonbane weapon against them.

Effect

• Demonbane: Tormented demons and the Divine Tormented Demon normally lower your max hit to 80% while their fire shield is up. The Purging staff ignores this, so you keep your full max hit with it for the whole fight.
