The Divine Tormented Demon is a Divine Donator version of the Tormented Demon. Five of them live in the Divine Monster Dungeon, a PvP area that only Divine Donators can teleport to. They have the same stats and attacks as the normal Tormented Demons, but their own drop table, kill count and Collection log page.

They are killed for the same weapons as the normal demons (Emberlight, Purging staff, Scorching bow and Burning claws), the Smouldering heart, the Pet Tiny Divine Tormentor and the Divine emblem items.

Getting there

  • Type ::divinepvm in game (also ::divinecave), or open the Teleport interface and choose Donator → Divine Monster Dungeon. You must be a Divine Donator to use this teleport.
  • The teleport takes you to the dungeon entrance. Climb into the strange hole and confirm that you want to enter the PvP zone.
  • You cannot teleport out of the dungeon. Leave by climbing the rope instead. The rope does not work while you are teleblocked, or for 9 seconds after you use a special attack on a player.

Fighting a Divine Tormented Demon in the Divine PvM Cave

Fight overview

  • The demons are not aggressive. They only fight players who attack them.
  • They use melee, ranged and magic, each with a max hit of 31 and an attack every 3.6 seconds. Ranged and magic reach up to 9 tiles.
  • A demon keeps the same attack style for 10 attacks, then uses its special attack and switches to a different style. If it cannot reach you with melee for a while, it switches to ranged or magic.
  • After your first hit, the demon waits a few seconds before it attacks back.
  • For a few seconds after a demon respawns, it cannot be attacked.
  • Their Ranged defence is 150 against arrows, 140 against darts and 90 against bolts.

Special attack

The demon casts an entangle effect on you, turns off your run, and throws two fire bombs: one at the tile you are about to stand on and one on a tile next to it. About 3 seconds later, anyone still standing on either tile takes 15–45 damage. Move off both tiles. Your run is switched back on afterwards.

Protection prayers

  • Each demon uses an overhead protection prayer. It starts with a random one.
  • When its hitpoints drop to 450, 300 and 150, it switches its prayer to protect against the last attack style that hit it. Change your attack style after each switch.

Fire shield

  • The demon's fire shield reduces your max hit by 20%.
  • Demonbane weapons and the abyssal bludgeon ignore the shield and always deal full damage.
  • The shield drops when you first attack the demon and when it uses its special attack. Your next hit after that brings the shield back up.
  • While the shield is down, slower weapons get a guaranteed minimum hit: 9 for a 5-tick weapon, 20 for a 6-tick weapon and 33 for a 7-tick weapon.

Kill count and Slayer

  • The drop goes to the player who dealt the most damage.
  • Divine Tormented Demons have their own kill count and Collection log page. Completing the collection log lets you claim 6 Monster Crates.
  • They count towards a Slayer task for Tormented Demons and give 500 base Slayer experience.

Setups

Warning: The Divine Monster Dungeon is a PvP zone. Other players can attack you, and you lose your items if you die. Do not bring items you are not willing to lose.

These setups come from what players wear when they kill the Divine Tormented Demon. Each tab shows the gear most players use at that price, what it costs, and how long a solo kill usually takes with it. Prices are in PK points (PKP) at today's in-game prices, and spawnable items are free to spawn. Almost everyone fights it in mid or max gear.

Typical solo kill: too few kills in this gear to measure

  • Few players fight the Divine version in mid-tier gear. This is the mid setup from the normal version, so expect slower kills.
  • The Scorching bow is 30% more accurate against demons. It is the most used weapon in this tier.
  • On a Slayer task, wear a Slayer helmet (i) instead of the Masori mask.

Typical solo kill: about 40 seconds

  • The Holy scythe of vitur gives the fastest kills in this tier.
  • The holy scythe is two-handed, so there is no shield.
  • An Infernal cape has the same stats as the Infernal max cape.

Drops

Note: You will receive a hidden 20% drop boost if you're skulled while killing Divine Tormented Demon!

Every kill always gives 350–700 PK points. The pet is rolled on its own, so you can get the pet and an item from the same kill. The other drops are rolled from rarest to most common, and the first one you hit is your drop. There are no common drops: if you hit none of them, you only get the PK points.
