The Scorching bow is a two-handed bow that requires level 77 Ranged and fires arrows. It is a demonbane weapon: it is 30% more accurate and deals 30% more damage against demons, and its special attack burns and binds them. Its +124 Ranged attack is also the third highest of any weapon in the ::bis interface, after the Bow of faerdhinen and the Heavy ballista.

It attacks every 5 ticks (4 on Rapid) and has an attack range of 10.

Effect

• Against demons it gets +30% accuracy and a 30% higher max hit.
• As a demonbane weapon, its max hit is not lowered by the fire shield of Tormented demons.

Special attack

The special attack costs 25% special attack energy and only works against demons; it cannot be used on players or other monsters. It fires one arrow with 30% more accuracy on top of the passive bonus; the damage is not raised further. The demon is also:

• bound in place for 20 ticks (12 seconds);
• set on fire. A burn deals 10 damage, 1 at a time, over about 30 seconds, and up to five burns can be active on a demon at once.
