The Infernal cape is a melee cape with no requirements. It gives +4 stab, slash and crush attack, +1 magic and ranged attack, +12 to every defence, +8 melee strength and +2 prayer. Its +8 melee strength is the most of any cape in the ::bis list, shared only with the TokHaar-kal and the Infernal max cape, and twice the +4 of the Fire cape. It cannot be traded. Players buy it for 5,000 vote points in the Voting shop or win it in the weekly Infernal Cape lottery, and it can be combined with a Max cape.

How to get it
Voting shop
The Voting shop sells the cape for 5,000 vote points, and you get an
Infernal max hood with it.
Weekly Infernal Cape lottery
Every vote you claim during the week counts as one entry in the Infernal Cape lottery, so the more you vote, the more entries you have. One voter is drawn every Sunday night at midnight (server time) and wins an Infernal cape and an Infernal max hood. ::votelottery shows your entries and how long is left until the next draw.
Other sources
- Clue scrolls: elite reward caskets.
- Collection log: the reward for completing The Mimic's collection log (
::collectionlog) includes an Infernal cape, together with a TokHaar-kal. - Crates and boxes: the Vote Mystery Box (Voting), the Stardust Mystery Box (Shooting Star), the Diamond Crate (HP events and Clan Warfare) and the Treasure Chest (Treasure Hunt).
- It cannot be traded, so it cannot be bought from other players.
Death and repairs
The cape is kept when you die. If you die somewhere you lose items, such as the Wilderness, it turns into an
Infernal Cape (broken) and the player who killed you receives 1,000 PK points. Use the Repair option on the broken cape to fix it for 1,000 PK points. With Auto-Fix Untradeables turned on in the Quest tab settings, it is repaired automatically when you die, as long as you have enough PK points. See Items Kept on Death for the general rules.
Infernal max cape and TokHaar-kal
Two other capes have exactly the same bonuses as the Infernal cape:
| Cape | How to get it | Difference |
|---|---|---|
| Use the Infernal cape on a Max cape. The two capes and your Max hood become an Infernal max cape and an Infernal max hood. | Has all the Max cape features and needs the same skill levels as the Max cape. Its Disassemble option gives back the Infernal cape, the Max cape and the Max hood. | |
| 10,000 vote points in the Voting shop (with an Infernal max hood), or a 1/75 drop from the Guardian of Votes | Does not break when you die. |
