Climbing boots are boots that give +2 melee strength and +2 slash and crush defence. They have no level requirements and no attack penalties, so any account can wear them, 1 Defence pures included. They are free in the Melee Accessories shop at ::shops. Among boots with no level requirement, only the Spiked manacles and Aranea boots give more melee strength (+4 each). Rune boots give the same +2 strength with more defence, but they need 40 Defence and lower magic and ranged attack. The gold-trimmed Climbing boots (g) have the same stats and are sold in the Donator shop.

How to get it

• Melee Accessories shop (the melee shop at home, ::shops): free.
• The free boots have no value, so they cannot be sold on the Trading post; the (g) boots can.
