Vet'ion is a Zamorakian skeletal champion that resides in the Wilderness.
Vet'ion has two forms: the (purple) regular form and the (orange) enraged form. After he is defeated in his first form, he will go to his second form, which has a faster attack speed and stronger max hit.
His combat stats cannot be lowered, so stat-draining special attacks (such as the Dragon warhammer) do not weaken him. He stays in his enraged form until he dies.

'I will smite you!' - Vet'ion and his hellhounds on the Royal Donator Zone platform
'For the lord!' - Vet'ion calls down lightning while the player crushes him with an Inquisitor's mace in the Skeletal Tomb
Vet'ion and his skeleton hellhounds at Vet'ion's Rest, with lightning strikes on the floor
Type ::vetion to choose between the two Wilderness lairs. The Royal Donator Zone Vet'ion is on the top floor of the Royal Donator Castle (Teleport interface: Donator → Royal PvM Zone). He is not aggressive there, so the fight only starts when you attack him.
Fight overview
Vet'ion is highly resistant to any combat style other than crush, and as he is undead, he is susceptible to Salve amulet(ei).
Vet'ion has several attacks and abilities:
- Lightning: Bolts of lightning strike various tiles across the arena. Each lightning bolt deals damage in a 3x3 area (7–32 on the middle tile, 1–16 on the tiles around it), but any tile that is about to be struck glows, giving players the chance to dodge the attack. Each attack strikes four random tiles, plus one bolt on or next to every player within 20 tiles (12 in the Royal Donator Zone). Protection prayers do not block it.
- Hellhounds: When a hit takes him below half health, Vet'ion summons a skeleton hellhound for every player who has attacked him, plus one for his current target (so two when you are alone). He takes no damage while any hellhound is alive. He does the same again in his enraged form, with greater skeleton hellhounds.
- Shield Bash: When you stand next to him, about 1 in 5 of his attacks is a shield bash on the area in front of him; shadows will appear forewarning the AoE of the attack. If the player doesn't move out of range, they take 13–20 damage (15–25 when he is enraged) and cannot attack for the next 4.8 seconds. Protect from Melee blocks the damage, but not the delay. This attack is only used when in melee distance.
- Enraged Form: Upon losing all health in his first form, Vet'ion will summon orange lightning bolts (which share his standard lightning bolts' 3x3 area damage) in a circle around him and restore his health to full. He takes no damage for about 4.8 seconds while this happens. In his second form he attacks every 2.4 seconds instead of every 3 seconds, and the hellhound mechanic is repeated again, but he will die after losing all of his health in this form.
- Groups: Every player after the first who attacks him adds 250 hitpoints and 3% to his combat stats (up to 20 players).
- Rewards: Every player who damaged him gets 2 PK points per damage (up to 1,500), 2 Anglerfish and 2 potions when he dies. One player gets the drop table roll.
Setups
These setups come from what players wear when they kill Vet'ion. Each tab shows the gear most players use at that price, what it costs, and how long a solo kill usually takes with it. Prices are in PK points (PKP) at today's in-game prices, and spawnable items are free to spawn. Almost everyone fights him with melee. He is undead, so a Salve amulet(ei) raises your melee damage against him.
Typical solo kill: about 1 minute 35 seconds
- A charged Viggora's chainmace has 50% more accuracy and max hit against monsters in the Wilderness, so it beats every other weapon at this price.
- Cheaper swaps: Dragon boots (200
) for the Primordial boots.

- Inquisitor's armour raises the max hit of crush attacks, which both chainmaces use.
- Players with a Salve amulet(ei) kill him faster than players with an Amulet of blood fury (about 1 minute 5 seconds against 1 minute 10 seconds).
- The usual next upgrade is an Avernic defender (875,000
).

Typical solo kill: about 50 seconds
- The Sanguine scythe of vitur gives the fastest kills. Players who stay on the Ursine chainmace with an Avernic defender and Ferocious gloves take about 1 minute.
- The scythe is two-handed, so there is no shield.
- An Infernal cape has the same stats as the Infernal max cape.
Drops
Note: You will receive a hidden 20% drop boost if you're skulled while killing Vet'ion!
The pet and clue scrolls are rolled separately. The other drops are rolled one by one from the rarest down, and the first one you hit is your drop. If you hit none of them, you get the PK points from the common drops table.
