Ranger boots are ranged boots that need level 40 Ranged to wear. They give +8 ranged attack and a little melee and magic defence, but −10 magic attack. Among boots in the ::bis list only the Avernic treads (max) (+15) and Pegasian boots (+12) have more ranged attack, and both need at least 75 Defence. Ranger boots need no Defence at all, so they are the best ranged boots for low-Defence accounts such as pures. The Pure Pking starter kit comes with a pair.
