Tumeken's shadow is a two-handed powered staff that needs 85 Magic to wield. It fires its own spell, which costs no runes and never runs out of charges. Its +35 magic attack is the second highest of any weapon in the ::bis interface (after the Purging staff), and its passive effect triples the magic attack and magic damage bonuses of everything you wear. It is a PvM weapon: against players its spell only works in safe (FunPk) areas.

Effect

Passive

• While you wield the staff, your total magic attack bonus from all equipment is multiplied by 3.
• Your total magic damage bonus from equipment is also multiplied by 3, up to a maximum of 100%. Gear worth about +34% magic damage or more reaches the cap.

Built-in spell

• The staff attacks with its own spell every 5 ticks (3 seconds). It cannot autocast spellbook spells.
• Max hit: Magic level ÷ 3 (rounded down) + 1, before the passive. That is 34 at 99 Magic, or 68 once your gear's magic damage is capped at 100% (prayers and other non-gear bonuses add on top). Boosted Magic levels count.
• Against monsters it reaches up to 8 tiles away (10 on Longrange).
• Against players the spell only works in FunPk areas and Castle Wars, not in the Wilderness or other dangerous PvP zones.

How to get it

• Donator shop: 40,000 Donator points.
• It can also come from a Royal Mystery Box.
• It is tradeable, so it can be bought from other players on the Trading post.

Variants

• The holiday staves Easter Tumeken (2024) and Tropical tumeken (2026) have the same stats but multiply magic attack and magic damage by 4 instead of 3 and attack every 4 ticks instead of 5.
