Zulrah's scales are the charges for the gear made from Zulrah's drops: the Toxic blowpipe, the Trident of the swamp, the Toxic staff of the dead (see Staff of the dead) and the Serpentine helm with its tanzanite and magma versions. Zulrah drops 500–1,000 scales on every kill, and the PK Point Shop sells them for 1 PK point each. They stack and can be traded with other players.
What they charge
| Item | Most scales | Scales used |
|---|---|---|
 Toxic blowpipe |
16,383 | 1 per attack |
 Blazing blowpipe |
16,383 | 1 per attack |
 Trident of the swamp |
2,500 | 1 per cast |
Toxic staff of the dead |
11,000 | 2–3 per attack against monsters, 2–5 per attack against players |
 Serpentine helm |
11,000 | 2–3 per attack you make against monsters (2–5 against players), plus 1–2 for each damaging hit a monster lands on you (1–4 from a player) |
Tanzanite helm and Magma helm |
11,000 each | The same as the Serpentine helm |
- Use scales on the item to charge it. Using scales on the uncharged version turns it into the charged one.
- You can only own one charged copy of each item. Each item keeps its own scales, so for example a Serpentine helm and a Magma helm are charged separately.
- Check shows how many scales are left. When the last scale is used, the helms, the staff and the trident turn back into their uncharged versions.
- Uncharge returns every scale in the item. You need three free inventory slots.
- If you die and lose one of these items to another player, they get the uncharged item and all of its scales.
How to get them
Drops
| Source | Quantity | Rate |
|---|---|---|
 Zulrah |
500–1,000 | Always |
Zulrah drops scales on every kill, on top of its other drop.
PK Point Shop
The PK Point Shop sells Zulrah's scales for 1 PK point each, up to 1,000,000 at a time. They cannot be sold back to the shop.
Other sources
- Crates: the Silver Crate can contain 5,000 scales.
- Uncharging: Uncharge on any of the items above gives its scales back.
- Other players: scales can be traded with other players. They are worth too little to be listed on the Trading post, which only takes items worth at least 2 PK points.
