The 2026 Halloween event is the Halloween event of 2026 on Roat Pkz. It started on 31 October 2026 and runs until 10 December 2026.

Witches rise from their graves in the Wilderness when you dig there with a spade, and they drop Halloween Tokens. You trade the tokens with the Mysterious Stranger at home for the Grim Reaper outfit, the Halloween Slayer scroll, the Resurrection Shovel and Bronze, Silver and Gold Pumpkins. A new Wilderness boss, the Sanctuary Ghost, appears every 3 hours.

Quick links:

Starting the event

  • Type ::hween (or ::halloween) to go to the Halloween Home. The home area has been decorated for Halloween, and the client has a Halloween log in screen while the event runs.
  • Talk to the Mysterious Stranger at the Halloween Home. He explains the event, and his right-click options are Talk-to, Rewards and Teleport.
  • The Dark Soulkeeper stands nearby. He sells the Jar of Dark Magic.

Spooky Portal

The Spooky Portal next to the Mysterious Stranger

Step through the Spooky Portal next to the Mysterious Stranger (or use his Teleport option) to go to the event area. Once you arrive, run a little west to the digging area.

Warning: the event area is in level 31–37 single-way Wilderness. Other players can attack you there, and you lose your items on death as usual.

Witches

Fighting a Witch in the event area

Take out a spade in the event area and dig. A Witch rises from her grave next to you and attacks you. Only one Witch can fight you at a time, so kill her before you dig again. You can't dig right next to the exit.

There are three Witches, and each casts her own spell:

  • Purple casts Water Blast.
  • Orange casts Fire Blast.
  • Green casts Earth Blast.

You need a combat level of 126 to attack a Witch. Her spells hit up to 20, and Protect from Magic only blocks half of the damage.

Every Witch drops 50–300 Halloween Tokens unless she drops one of the rarer items. The rare drops are:

Item Quantity Rate
Pet Witch (2026)Pet Witch (2026) 1 1/15,000
Halloween Ring (2026)Halloween Ring (2026) 1 1/5,000
Gold Pumpkin (noted) 5–10 1/5,000
Gold Pumpkin 1 1/2,000
Halloween Token (2026)Halloween Token (2026) 5,000 1/1,000
Silver Pumpkin 1 1/500
Bronze Pumpkin 1 1/100

These are the base rates. Your donator rank and the Halloween Ring make them better; see the Witch's drop table.

Witches can also be your Slayer task. Read a Halloween Slayer scroll to replace your task with 15–50 Witches.

Event helpers

Resurrection Shovel

Carry the Resurrection Shovel while you hunt Witches and it digs again for you after each kill. It comes with 100 charges, and every Witch it raises uses one. Use a Resurrection Shovel on another one to add 100 charges. The Toggle-on/off option turns the automatic digging on and off.

The shovel costs 3,000 Halloween Tokens from the Mysterious Stranger.

Halloween Ring

The Halloween Ring is a rare Witch drop. It works while you wear it or carry it in your inventory:

  • It picks up your Witch and Sanctuary Ghost drops for you.
  • Witches have 15% better drop rates.
  • The Sanctuary Ghost's falling pumpkins can't hurt you.

You can dismantle the ring into 25 Gold Pumpkins.

Jar of Dark Magic

The Dark Soulkeeper at ::hween sells the Jar of Dark Magic for 5,000 PK points. While it is in your inventory, every Witch you kill stores a soul in the jar. Every 10 souls give you +0.1% accuracy and damage against Witches and the Sanctuary Ghost. This stacks with your other boosts, up to +20% at 2,000 souls.

The jar is never lost on death, but if you die in the Wilderness while carrying it, the dark takes 25 souls (never below 0).

Halloween Tokens

Halloween Tokens are the event's currency. You get them by:

  • killing Witches;
  • fighting the Sanctuary Ghost (the more damage you deal, the more tokens you get);
  • killing players in PvP while the event runs. Longer fights give more tokens;
  • searching the pile of candy at home (see AFK gathering);
  • mining in the event area (see Skilling for tokens).

Double tokens: every Witch killed on the server counts towards a shared goal. When the goal is reached, everyone gets double tokens for 1 hour.

Thrown pumpkins: every few minutes, Bronze, Silver and sometimes Gold Pumpkins are thrown across the event area. Anyone can pick them up.

Rewards

When you have enough tokens, go back to ::hween and choose Rewards on the Mysterious Stranger. Start with the Grim Reaper outfit: buying it finishes the event and unlocks the other rewards. You can buy more than one Halloween Slayer scroll or pumpkin at a time.

Reward Price
Grim Reaper outfit (2026)Grim Reaper outfit (2026) 2,500 Halloween Tokens

Each pumpkin holds a range of rewards. The best reward of each tier is a limited 2026 Halloween item:

  • The H'ween Mask Scythe boosts your melee accuracy and damage against monsters by 5%, and every attack against a monster hits four times, whatever its size. You can recolour it between red, green and blue.
  • The Infernal Cape of Souls is a ghostly white Infernal cape that glows with lost souls while worn. Right-click it while worn to toggle the souls.
  • The Pumpkin Slayer Helmet works as an imbued Slayer helmet with no Slayer level needed. You can check your task and teleport to it with the helmet.

AFK gathering

You can earn tokens while you are away: search the pile of candy at home. You need to have ::voted on RuneLocus in the last 12 hours to search it.

Skilling for tokens

Mining for tokens in the event area

If PvM isn't your thing, you can mine the rocks in the event area for Halloween Tokens. Your pickaxe is upgraded as you collect more tokens. It's the Wilderness, so other players can attack you while you mine.

Sanctuary Ghost

The Sanctuary Ghost raining pumpkins

The Sanctuary Ghost is the event's Wilderness boss. It appears at a random spot in the Wilderness every 3 hours, and everyone is told 10, 5, 3 and 1 minutes before. Type ::ghost to teleport to it.

It spawns at these times (server time):

02:45 05:45 08:45 11:45 14:45 17:45 20:45 23:45
  • It switches between melee, Crumble Undead and ranged attacks, and it gets stronger with every player who joins the fight.
  • Pumpkin rain: pumpkins fall from the sky and hit anyone standing where they land. The Halloween Ring keeps you safe. Every pumpkin that falls stays on the ground for anyone to pick up.
  • Everyone who damages it is rewarded by their damage: Halloween Tokens, or 3–5 Gold Pumpkins for 3,500 damage or more.

Warning: it's the Wilderness, so watch out for player killers.

Pets

The event has two new pets. Both are tradeable and only come from the 2026 Halloween event.

  • Pet Sanctuary Ghost (2026)Pet Sanctuary Ghost (2026): every player who deals 500 or more damage to the Sanctuary Ghost has a 1/200 chance to get it.
  • Pet Witch (2026)Pet Witch (2026): a rare drop from Witches. It can switch between orange, purple and green.

Base reward

The Grim Reaper outfit

The Grim Reaper outfit is the cosmetic reward for finishing the event. It has a hood, top, bottoms and gloves. Buying it from the Mysterious Stranger finishes the event, and everyone is told that you finished it.

Collection log

The event has a temporary Collection log: each pumpkin has its own page in the Holiday tab. These pages don't count towards the hiscores, but they help you keep track of what you have unboxed.

Competition

At the start of the event, the first player to unbox each of these items won Game Credits:
