Virtus robes

Virtus robes are a set of magic armour made of the Virtus mask, Virtus robe top and Virtus robe bottom. Every piece needs level 78 Magic and 75 Defence. Their magic attack (+8, +35 and +26) is tied for the highest for each slot in the ::bis interface with Ancestral robes, and they have better defences and +4 prayer for the set. Each piece only gives +2% magic damage (Ancestral gives +3%), but on Roat Pkz every Virtus piece also boosts Ancient Magicks damage (see Effect). Virtus comes from the Avatar of Destruction.

Combat stats

Full set: +69 magic attack, +6% magic damage, +4 prayer, -23 ranged attack, and +93 stab, +78 slash, +106 crush and +59 magic defence. The robes give no ranged defence.

Effect

Each Virtus piece you wear adds 3% to the max hit of Ancient Magicks spells, so the full set gives +9%. This works per piece (you do not need the whole set), it adds to the normal +2% magic damage of each piece, and it also works with the echo virtus pieces. With Ancient Magicks a full Virtus set therefore adds 15% damage (6% + 9%), against 9% from a full set of Ancestral robes.

The equipment screen currently lists this bonus as 4% per piece (12% for the set), but the damage formula uses 3% per piece.

How to get it

Avatar of Destruction

Every player who deals at least 2,500 damage to the Avatar of Destruction gets a roll on its unique table. Part of each unique roll is a chance at the high-tier table, which has 9 equally likely items: the Soulreaper axe, Venator ring, Magus ring, Bellator ring, Ultor ring, Echo virtus ornament kit and each of the three Virtus pieces. The chance of the high-tier table depends on your damage:

With the Double Time scroll you get two rolls instead of one.

Other sources

• Crates: any of the three pieces can come from a Gold Wilderness Chest.
• Trading post: all pieces are tradeable.
• Item set: the three pieces can be swapped for a Virtus armour set (and back) at the item sets interface.

Echo virtus

Use an Echo virtus ornament kit on a Virtus piece to turn it into its echo version. Each piece needs its own kit. The echo pieces have the same stats, requirements and Ancient Magicks bonus as normal Virtus; the echo mask also weighs only 0.1 kg instead of 1.206 kg. The Detach option gives back the normal piece and the kit. All three echo pieces can be swapped for an Echo Virtus armour set at the item sets interface.
