Avatar of Destruction
The Avatar of Destruction (often just called Avatar) is a Wilderness boss that spawns every hour at :15 in a single-way part of the deep Wilderness. Everyone can fight it at the same time, and its health grows with every player who joins the fight.
How much damage you deal decides which drop table you roll on. Deal enough damage and you can get items such as the Soulreaper axe, Virtus robes, the Desert Treasure II rings and the Lil' destructor pet.
You need a combat level of 126 to attack the Avatar, and you must be skulled. If you are not skulled, attacking it asks you to confirm that you want to be skulled.
Getting there
- Type ::avatar in game, or open the Teleport interface and choose Events → Avatar.
- The teleport costs 50 PK points and only works from 10 minutes before the Avatar spawns until it dies or leaves. At other times it tells you how long until the next spawn.
- A global message announces the Avatar 10, 5, 3 and 1 minutes before it spawns, with the Wilderness level it will appear at. A pile of skulls marks the spot until it appears.
- The quest tab shows the countdown, the Avatar's remaining health and how many players are there.
Locations
The Avatar spawns at one of three single-way spots in the Wilderness, chosen each hour.

Fight overview
- Any number of players can attack the Avatar at the same time, even though it spawns in a single-way area.
- The Avatar only attacks players who have damaged it, and it attacks all of them at once.
- It starts with 5,000 hitpoints and gains 1,500 hitpoints for every new player who attacks it. Its combat stats also go up by 1% per player, up to 20%.
- Your Ranged and Magic attacks can only reach it from up to 7 tiles away.
- It is immune to poison and venom.
- While you fight, an on-screen box shows your total damage and which drop table you are on.
- If the Avatar is not killed within 45 minutes, the server removes it.
- If more than two players have attacked it and nobody is within 40 tiles, it heals back to full health and forgets who attacked it.
- Remember that you are in the Wilderness: other players can attack you while you fight the Avatar.
Attacks
Magic – a fire projectile that hits for 10–40. Protect from Magic blocks it fully.
Ranged – a white arrow projectile that hits for 10–40. Protect from Missiles blocks it fully.- The Avatar picks Magic or Ranged at random for each normal attack, so watch the projectile and switch prayers.
Portals – the Avatar shouts "MOVE AWAY!" and fires at the tile you are standing on. A portal appears there shortly before it strikes. If you are still on that tile, you are hit 3 times for 10–20 each. Move off the tile, or use Protect from Melee to block the damage.- Entangle – the Avatar shouts "WATCH OUT!" and fires at your tile. If you are still standing there when it lands, you are frozen for about 19 seconds and hit for 10–25. Move off the tile to avoid it; Protect from Melee blocks the damage but not the freeze. A portal attack often follows right after.
Boulders – the Avatar shouts "HAMMERTIME!!!" three times. Shadows appear on up to 70 tiles around it, including the tiles nearby attackers are standing on, and boulders land on them a few seconds later for 25–45 each. Step off the shadows, or use Protect from Melee to block the damage.

Rewards
When the Avatar dies, every player who damaged it is rewarded based on their own damage:
- Dealing more than 100 damage counts as one Avatar kill in your kill count and gives you a chance at the Lil' destructor pet.
- Every attacker gets one roll on the drop table that matches their damage (see Drops). Your drops are added to your Collection log.
- With the Double Time scroll active you get two rolls instead of one. While double drops are active, rare items are doubled.
A global message then announces how many players took part, the total value of the drops and how long the fight took.
Equipment
Warning: This boss is located within the Wilderness, beware of player-killers! Do not bring items you are not willing to lose.
You must be skulled to attack the Avatar. Risk only what you are willing to lose!
Your damage decides your drop table, so bring the highest damage setup you can afford to risk. Ranged and Magic only reach the Avatar from 7 tiles away.
Drops
Each attacker rolls once on the drop table that matches their total damage:
| Your damage | Drop table | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Under 750 | PK points | PK points equal to 4 × your damage |
| 750–2,499 | Default | One of the 4 default items (1 in 4 each) |
| 2,500–4,999 | Unique | About a 5% chance of a high-tier unique, otherwise one of the 10 other uniques (1 in 10 each) |
| 5,000–7,499 | Unique (2x) | About a 10% chance of a high-tier unique, otherwise one of the 10 other uniques |
| 7,500 or more | Unique (3x) | About a 15% chance of a high-tier unique, otherwise one of the 10 other uniques |
The high-tier uniques are the Soulreaper axe, Virtus mask, robe top and robe bottom, Ultor ring, Bellator ring, Magus ring, Venator ring and Echo virtus ornament kit (1 in 9 each when you hit the high-tier chance). The "2x" and "3x" tables still give one item; they only raise your chance of a high-tier unique.
The Lil' destructor pet is rolled separately: every player who deals more than 100 damage has a 1 in 1,000 chance.
