Web client
The web client lets you play Roat Pkz in your browser on a computer, with nothing to download. Open play.roatpkz.com in Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari and log in with your normal account. The same page runs the mobile version on phones and tablets.
Overview
- Where to play: play.roatpkz.com, or the Play Now button on the Roat Pkz website.
- Browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari.
- Account: the same account as on the downloaded client and on mobile.
- Controls: mouse and keyboard, the same as the downloaded client.
- Phones and tablets: the page switches to the touch layout by itself. See Mobile.
Playing in a browser
- Open play.roatpkz.com.
- Wait for the loading screen to finish. The first visit takes the longest.
- Type your username and password and tap Log in. A new username creates a new account; "Incorrect password" means the name is taken.
- Tick Remember me to save the account in this browser. Saved accounts show under Saved accounts for a one-click login next time.
RuneLite side panel
The web client has a RuneLite side panel on the right with a column of buttons:

Open or close the side panel with the small tab on the right edge of the window, with CTRL + F11, or with the RuneLite button in the bottom row of the Settings tab.
Web client or downloaded client?
Both play the same game on the same account. The web client is the quickest way to start: no download, nothing to install, and it works on computers where you can't install programs. The downloaded client has the full set of RuneLite plugins and features. You can switch between them at any time.
Tips
- Keep the tab in the foreground while you play. Browsers slow down tabs you aren't looking at.
- If the game says Outdated client, it reloads itself with the new version. If it keeps happening, close the tab and open the page again.
- While you're playing, a bar may say A new version of the client is available. Click Refresh now to update, or Later to keep playing.
- Your Keyboard shortcuts and other account settings follow you between the web client and the downloaded client.
