Avernic treads (max) are hybrid boots that need level 80 Strength, Defence, Ranged and Magic to wear. They are the best offensive boots in the ::bis interface for every combat style: no other boots have as much stab, slash or crush attack (+5 each), ranged attack (+15), magic attack (+11), melee strength (+6), ranged strength (+3) or magic damage (+2%), and they also have the highest magic defence of any boots (+10). They are the only boots with a ranged strength bonus. In each style they beat the single-style boots: Primordial boots (+5 melee strength), Pegasian boots (+12 ranged attack) and Eternal boots (+8 magic attack, +1% magic damage), so one pair covers melee, ranged and magic.
At the Gemstone Crab, your chance of getting a roll on its drop table is ten times your share of the total damage, so dealing 10% of the damage or more guarantees a roll.
