The Cooking gauntlets are gloves that give 10% more Cooking experience while you wear them. They have no level requirements and cannot be traded. The Cooking Tutor sells them for 100,000 skilling points, and you keep them when you die. Their combat bonuses are small; the Goldsmith gauntlets have the same bonuses and give the same boost to Smithing.

Effect
While the gauntlets are in your glove slot, everything you cook gives 10% more of its base Cooking experience. The 10% is added to your other Cooking boosts instead of multiplying them:
- Cooking in the Wilderness or in the Royal and Divine skilling dungeons gives double experience. With the gauntlets you get 2.1 times the base experience there.
- Vote streak bonuses are added in the same way, while the Cooking clan perk (+10%) and double XP multiply the total.
For example, a shark gives 840 experience in a safe zone, or 924 with the gauntlets. In the Wilderness it gives 1,680, or 1,764 with the gauntlets. Burnt food gives no experience.
The gauntlets also count when you train Cooking in the AFK Skilling zone.
How to get it
| Seller | Price | Sells back for |
|---|---|---|
| 100,000 skilling points | 70,000 skilling points |
Use the Trade option on a Cooking Tutor to open the Cooking Shop. Cooking Tutors stand near ::cooking, in the Donator Zone and in the Resource Area in the Wilderness. The shop is the only way to get the gauntlets, and if you no longer need them you can sell them back to it.
Death
The gauntlets are always kept when you die, even in the Wilderness. See Items Kept on Death for the general rules.
