A Crate Frenzy happens in the wilderness a few times per day.
You can go there to loot crates, or Double & Upgrade your current crates.

How it works

• Four times a day a Crate Frenzy event spawns at a random wilderness location: Forgotten Cemetery, Pirates Hideout, Agility Area or the 50s.
• The event takes place for 20 minutes.
• About every 25 seconds a different tier of crate or chest opens and can be upgraded or doubled. The order is Diamond, Mythical, Gold Wilderness, Bloodlust, Wilderness, Treasure, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and then back to Diamond.
• Free Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum crates are dropped around the big crate during the event.

Requirements and risks

• You must have a combat level of 126 to use the crates.
• You can not carry more than 12 Saradomin brews.
• Using a crate skulls you, teleblocks you, freezes you for a few seconds and stops you from attacking players for 30 seconds. Better crates give longer teleblocks (60 seconds for Bronze up to 4 minutes for Mythical). Upgrading gives a 5 times shorter teleblock and freeze than doubling.

The Crate Frenzy event starts at server time:

• 02:00
• 11:00
• 15:00
• 22:00

Double Crate

When doubling a crate you have a 50% chance of DOUBLING (2X) your crate!
If you fail to double it, no worries, you still get a 1X Crate and nothing is lost.
You can only double a few crates of each tier per event (for example 50 Bronze, 10 Gold or 1 Diamond crate).
However the 1X and 2X crates are ALWAYS LOST ON DEATH!

Upgrade Crate

When upgrading a Crate, you have a certain percentage (based on crate) to either upgrade your crate or lose it!
The chance is the average value of your crate divided by the average value of the crate you want, plus 10%. The exact chance is shown in the dialogue before you confirm.
