The Elysian spirit shield is a shield that needs level 75 Defence and 75 Prayer to wield. Its +75 crush defence ties the ancient wyvern shield for the highest of any shield in the ::bis list, and it gives +3 prayer, but players wear it for its passive effect, which cuts most hits from other players by a quarter.

It is made from an Elysian sigil, a 1 in 10,240 drop from the Corporeal Beast.

Effect

• When another player hits you with melee, ranged or magic, there is a 70% chance that the hit is reduced by 25% (rounded down). A graphic plays on you when this happens.
• The reduction is applied before protection prayers, so a hit that is protected and also reduced deals about 45% of its normal damage.
• Against melee, all hits made against you in the same game tick share one roll. The four hits of a dragon claws special attack are either all reduced or none of them are.
• Only attacks from players are reduced. Hits from monsters, poison, venom, vengeance and recoil damage are never reduced.

How to get it

The shield is not dropped by anything; you make it in two steps:

1. Use a holy elixir on a spirit shield to make a blessed spirit shield.
2. Use an Elysian sigil on the blessed spirit shield. You are asked to confirm first, and the sigil can not be taken off again.

Other sources

• Elysian sigils can also come from the Monster Crate, which is given for completing boss collection logs.
• Spirit shields are sold in the Pk point shop for 500 PKP. They also come from hard and elite clue caskets and from the Silver Crate (player kills and Crate Frenzy), and the Tribrid Pking starter kit includes one.
• The finished shield and all of its parts can be bought from other players on the Trading post.
