Enchanted dragon bolts are dragon bolts tipped with an enchanted gem. There are ten kinds, from opal to onyx. They all need level 64 Ranged and give +122 Ranged strength, the most of any bolts in the ::bis interface. Each kind has its own effect that can trigger when you fire it. They cost 1 PK point or less in the Ranged Accessories shop, and pearl dragon bolts (e) are free.
They can only be fired from crossbows that need 64 Ranged or more: the Dragon crossbow (64), the Armadyl crossbow (70), the Dragon hunter crossbow (70) and the Zaryte crossbow (80). The Rune crossbow (61) cannot fire them.

- Apart from diamond bolts, the bolt still has to hit for the extra damage to count. The diamond effect ignores the target's defence, so that shot always lands.
- Ruby: it only triggers while you have at least 10 Hitpoints, and Verzik Vitur in the Theatre of Blood is immune to it.
- Dragonstone: it does not trigger against a player who wears an anti-dragon shield, a dragonfire shield or a dragonfire ward.
- Opal and pearl add the same amount of damage, for example 9 at 99 Ranged; pearl triggers a little more often.
- Zaryte crossbow: it makes the ruby, diamond, onyx, pearl and dragonstone effects 10% stronger (the ruby effect can then hit up to 110 against monsters, and dragonstone still adds at most 25), and its special attack always triggers the effect of the bolts you have equipped.
