A goading potion makes monsters around you attack you, even ones that normally leave you alone. It is useful for Slayer tasks on monsters that aren't aggressive, so you can fight several at once without clicking each one. It was added to the Slayer shop in the February 2026 update.
Getting goading potions
- Buy a Goading potion(4) from the Slayer shop for 100 Slayer points.
- Noted goading potions can come from the Slayer Crate and the Divine Slayer impling, and Bearded gorillas drop them too.
- They are tradeable, so you can also buy them from other players.
Effect
- One dose lasts 6 minutes. A dose from a Chugging barrel lasts 12 minutes. Drinking another dose starts the timer again; doses don't add up.
- While it's active, monsters that are within 4 tiles of you and can see you (with nothing blocking the path between you) treat you as if they were aggressive, so they come and attack you. This includes monsters that are never aggressive normally.
- The normal combat rules still apply: in single-way combat only one monster can attack you at a time.
- A timer shows how long the effect has left.
- Teleporting ends the effect straight away.
