Dark bow imbue scroll

An imbue scroll upgrades one weapon into its imbued (bh) version. Use the scroll on the weapon and confirm, and the scroll and the weapon become the imbued weapon. The (bh) weapons have higher attack bonuses and a stronger special attack, and they can be traded like the normal weapons.

There are five imbue scrolls, one for each weapon below. The Emblem Trader sells all of them in the Bounty Hunter shop for Bounty Hunter points.

The scrolls

Scroll Price (BHP) Use it on Makes Scroll value (PKP)

The value column is the price guide value of the scroll itself.

What the imbued weapons do

An imbued weapon attacks at the same speed as the normal weapon and has the same kind of special attack. These are the differences:

Weapon Bonuses Special attack
Dark bow (bh) +105 Ranged attack (+10) Costs 45% special energy instead of 55%. Each arrow deals at least 10 damage instead of 8 (half that against a player using Protect from Missiles). It can't be used against players in level 10 or deeper Wilderness.
Abyssal dagger (bh) +85 stab attack (+10) Costs 35% special energy instead of 25%. Each of the two hits can deal up to 95% of your max hit instead of 85%, and the accuracy roll uses the defence for your current attack style instead of slash. The (bh)(p++) version also keeps its poison.
Dragon longsword (bh) +62 stab and +75 slash attack (+4 and +6) Hits up to 1.25 times your max hit instead of 1.15 times. Against players, your next attack after the special attack comes one tick sooner.
Dragon mace (bh) +44 stab and +64 crush attack (+4 each) Same cost and max hit, but the target's crush defence only counts for 60% on the accuracy roll, so it lands more often.
Barrelchest anchor (bh) +102 crush attack and +110 strength (+10 each) Deals 25% more damage. Like the normal anchor, it lowers the target's Attack, Defence, Ranged and Magic by a tenth of the damage dealt.

Each scroll's page has the full stats of its weapon. See Special attacks for how special attacks work.

Using a scroll

  • Use the scroll on its weapon. The game asks "Are you sure you want to combine these items?" Choose Yes, and the scroll and the weapon are replaced by the (bh) weapon.
  • You can't combine them while you are under attack in a PvP area.
  • For the abyssal dagger, only the plain Abyssal dagger and the Abyssal dagger (p++) can be imbued.

Taking the scroll back off

Every (bh) weapon has a Dismantle option. It splits the weapon back into the normal weapon and the imbue scroll, so you can sell the scroll or move it to another weapon. You need one free inventory slot, and you can't dismantle during a minigame, a trade, a duel or a gamble.

Getting the scrolls

  • Bounty Hunter shop: right-click the Emblem Trader at home (::shops) and choose Trade-items. The Dark bow and Abyssal dagger scrolls cost 10,000 Bounty Hunter points, and the other three cost 1,000.
  • Bounty Hunter Crate (tier 2): this crate, which you can get by killing your Bounty Hunter target, can contain an Abyssal dagger imbue scroll.
  • Other players: all five scrolls and all the (bh) weapons are tradeable, so you can also buy them from other players or on the Trading post.
