Prayer scrolls unlock prayers that are locked by default. Use the scroll's Read option and choose to learn the prayer: the scroll is used up and the prayer stays unlocked on your account for good. There are five scrolls: the Dexterous (Rigour), Arcane (Augury), Torn (Preserve), Deadeye and Mystic vigour prayer scrolls. Rigour and Augury are the strongest Ranged and Magic prayers in the game. All five scrolls can be traded, so you can also buy them from other players.

Scrolls

Mystic vigour prayer scroll Mystic Vigour 63 +18% Magic attack, +3% Magic damage and +5% Defence, and +18% defence against other players' magic. Takes the place of Mystic Might. 100,000 PKP

PKP = PK points. The Defence bonuses count against melee, ranged and monsters' magic attacks. Against other players' magic, Augury and Mystic Vigour use their Magic defence bonus instead.

Learning a prayer

  • Read the scroll and choose Learn. The scroll is used up and the prayer is unlocked for good. If you already know the prayer, the scroll is not used up.
  • Rigour, Augury and Preserve have their own places in the prayer book and can be turned on once you have learned them.
  • Deadeye and Mystic Vigour take the place of Eagle Eye and Mystic Might. Once you learn Deadeye, clicking Eagle Eye turns on Deadeye instead, and once you learn Mystic Vigour, clicking Mystic Might turns on Mystic Vigour.
  • Like Rigour and Augury, Deadeye and Mystic Vigour turn off Steel Skin and the other Defence prayers when you turn them on. Deadeye cannot be combined with other Ranged prayers, and Mystic Vigour cannot be combined with other Magic prayers.
  • Rigour and Augury drain Prayer as fast as Piety, Deadeye and Mystic Vigour as fast as Eagle Eye and Mystic Might, and Preserve as slowly as Thick Skin.
  • Preserve, Deadeye and Mystic Vigour cannot be used in Last Man Standing.

Rigour and Augury without a scroll

The Rigour and Augury page has more about these two prayers. Without the scrolls you can still use them in these ways, as long as you have the Prayer and Defence levels:

  • Rent them: the Prayer Tutor (::prayer) rents out either prayer for 3,000 PK points for 1 hour or 20,000 PK points for 24 hours. ::prayer-rentals shows how long your rental has left.
  • Clan perk: while your clan has the Holy perk active, its members can use both prayers (see Clan perks).
  • Last Man Standing: both prayers are unlocked for everyone inside Last Man Standing.

  • TzTok-Jad and Skotizo: the player who deals the most damage (the MVP) always gets one item from a special table. The scroll is one of its 6 items at Jad and one of its 7 items at Skotizo, and every item on the table is equally likely.
  • Divine Glod and Gemstone Crab: every player who damaged the boss can win a roll on its drop table, and the rates above are per roll. Your chance of a roll is about 10 times your share of the total damage, so dealing 10% of all the damage or more always gives a roll. Divine Glod is a Divine Donator boss.
  • Chambers of Xeric: you need more than 3,000 raid points (7.5 points per damage to the Great Olm and its hands) to have a chance at a rare reward. Every full 3,000 points gives about a 1% chance, raised by a donator rank and the harder raid modes. The rare reward table has 638 entries, and the rates above are per rare reward.
