A forgotten brew is a stronger version of the Ancient brew. It gives a bigger Magic boost and restores the same amount of Prayer, at the same cost to your melee stats. You make it with level 91 Herblore, but only in the Wilderness and the Royal and Divine skilling dungeons. You can also buy it with PK points or skilling points. It holds four doses.
Effects
Each dose:
- Raises your Magic level by 8% of your base level + 3. At 99 Magic this takes you to 109 (+10).
- Restores Prayer points equal to 10% of your base Prayer level + 2 (11 points at 99 Prayer). It can take your Prayer up to 5% above your base level (103 at 99 Prayer).
- Lowers your Attack, Strength and Defence by 10% + 2 of their current levels. At 99 each of them drops to 88.

You can only make forgotten brews in the Wilderness Herblore spots (the Resource Area and the three Piles spots) and in the Royal and Divine skilling dungeons. Herblore always gives double experience there, so the 800 experience already includes that bonus.
Ancient essence costs 1 PK point each in the PK Point Shop, or 2 skilling points each in the Herblore shop (Herblore Tutor at ::herblore). The Herblore shop also sells the ancient brew(4) for 10 skilling points. See Herblore training for more.

Forgotten brews can't be spawned.
Using it
- You can store forgotten brews in a Chugging barrel and drink them together with up to four other potions in one click.
- Combine part-used potions by using one on another, or decant them all at once; see Potion decanting.
