Bandos armour

Bandos armour is a set of melee armour made of the Bandos chestplate, Bandos tassets and Bandos boots. Every piece needs level 65 Defence and gives +1 prayer. The chestplate has +133 ranged defence, which only the Torva platebody (and its Sanguine version) and the Justiciar chestguard (+142) beat in the ::bis interface, plus +4 melee strength. The boots have +15 ranged defence, beaten only by Guardian boots and Echo boots. The chestplate and tassets cost 5,000 PK points each in the Pk point shop and drop from several Wilderness bosses, which makes the set a cheap all-round choice for melee setups.

At the Gemstone Crab, your chance of getting a roll on its drop table is ten times your share of the total damage, so dealing 10% of the damage or more guarantees a roll.

• Achievements: rewards for Nex kills (20, 42, 60, 110, 150 and 200 kills), Venenatis kills (275, 850, 1,600 and 2,000), Chaos Elemental kills (1,000 and 9,500), Bounty Hunter kills (1,250), Overall kills (475, 1,600 and 7,000), Main Melee kills (475, 1,250 and 2,000) and Single kills (1,250). The bigger tiers give several noted chestplates.

Other uses

• The medium daily task "Deal 2,500 PvP damage while wearing Bandos armour (Chest & Tasset)" needs the chestplate and tassets; the boots are not needed.
• Above level 10 Wilderness (except during the Clan Cup), Statius's platebody and Vesta's chainbody use the stats and look of the Bandos chestplate, and Statius's platelegs and Vesta's plateskirt use those of the Bandos tassets.
• Clue scroll steps sometimes ask you to wear a Bandos piece.
