These setups come from what players wear when they kill the King Black Dragon. Each tab shows the gear most players use at that price, what it costs, and how long a solo kill usually takes with it. Prices are in PK points (PKP) as of October 2026, and spawnable items are free to spawn. An anti-dragon shield or Protect from Magic cuts his dragonfire to a fifth, so you do not need antifire potions.

Typical solo kill: about 50 seconds

• The Sanguine scythe of vitur gives the fastest kills, about twice as fast as the dragon hunter weapons.
• The scythe is two-handed, so there is no shield: use Protect from Magic against his dragonfire.
• On a Slayer task, wear a Slayer helmet (i) instead of the torva helm.
• An Infernal cape has the same stats as the Infernal max cape.
