The profit shown is the average Pk Point value of one kill for the player who receives the drop, worked out from the drop table with current prices and base drop rates. It leaves out the Elysian sigil, which is covered below, and the pet. It does not assume a kill rate: multiply it by the number of kills you get.
The Corporeal Beast (Corp) is a tough boss with 2,000 Hitpoints in a cave that is not part of the Wilderness. Its most valuable regular drop is the Arcane sigil (1/128, 100,000 Pk Points).
The Elysian sigil (1/10,240) is worth 75,000,000 Pk Points. It is left out of the table above because that one drop is worth more than everything else combined, but on average it adds about 7,324 Pk Points to every kill, which brings the full average to about 8,972 Pk Points per kill.
The drop goes to one player. When several players fight it, the winner is picked at random, with a chance equal to each player's share of the damage, so in a group your average is your share of the value above. Your current share is shown on screen as your Drop Chance while you are in the cave.
Recommended gear
- Use a spear or the fang. Every attack on the Corporeal Beast deals half damage, except melee hits with a spear (such as the Zamorakian spear, Vesta's spear or Dragon spear), Osmumten's fang, or the Noxious halberd on stab. Ranged and magic always deal half damage.
- Stab is its weakest defence (25, against 200 slash and 100 crush), which suits spears and the fang.
- Spears are two-handed, so the shield slot is only useful with Osmumten's fang.
- Bring a Dragon warhammer, Elder maul or Bandos godsword to lower its Defence first (see Tips).
- Bring plenty of food: it hits hard and prayers only reduce its attacks.
Getting there
- Teleport portal at ::home → Monsters → Corp Beast Cave takes you straight into the cave for 500 Pk Points. It is free for Royal Donators and above, who are also taken straight into the cave by ::corp.
- Everyone else who types ::corp (or chooses Corp Beast (Close By) in the teleport portal) arrives at the Graveyard of Shadows in level 19 Wilderness and must run east through the graveyard to the cave entrance in level 20 Wilderness.
- From the Wilderness side you need a Combat level of at least 85 to enter the cave, and you cannot enter while teleblocked or under attack.
- Inside, go through the passage to the east to reach the Corporeal Beast. You can teleport out of the cave normally, because it is not in the Wilderness; the crevice at the entrance leads back into the Wilderness.
Valuable drops
These are base rates without any drop rate bonus. Prices update daily.
| Item | Rate | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elysian sigil | 1/10,240 | 75,000,000 | |
| Arcane sigil | 1/128 | 100,000 | |
| Spectral sigil | 1/64 | 7,500 | |

| Spirit shield | 1/5 | 500 | |
| Demonic relic | 1/1,500 | 64,000 | |

| Demonic emblem | 1/45 | 2,000 | |
- A kill gives at most one item from the table above. The rarest items are rolled first, so the common items (such as the spirit shield) drop a little less often than their listed rate; the profit table at the top uses the real chance per kill.
- If none of them is rolled, you get 500–1,000 Pk Points, or 100–200 noted super combat potion(4)s, anglerfish or cooked karambwans instead.
- It also drops the Pet dark core pet at 1/750.
- A Holy elixir on a Spirit shield makes a Blessed spirit shield, and a sigil on a Blessed spirit shield makes the Spectral, Arcane or Elysian spirit shield. The Arcane sigil is also used for Elidinis' ward (f).
- Demonic artifacts are sold to the Demonic Emblem Trader in the Deep Wilderness Dungeon for a fixed amount of Pk Points, or traded to other players.
Risks
- If you walk in, the Graveyard of Shadows and the area around the cave entrance are in level 19–20 Wilderness, and the entrance area is multi-combat. Use the paid cave teleport to skip the Wilderness completely.
- The cave is multi-combat and open to everyone, so other players can join your kill and take part of your drop chance.
- Its drops are announced to the players around it.
- If you die you keep only 3 items (none while skulled), plus one more with Protect Item. Demonic artifacts are always lost on death. See Items Kept on Death.
Tips
- Lower its Defence first. A Dragon warhammer (or Statius's warhammer) special attack that hits lowers its Defence by 30%, an Elder maul special attack by 35%, and a Bandos godsword special attack lowers its Defence by the damage it deals. These hits are still halved because they are not spears.
- It hits up to 51 with melee when you are next to it and up to 65 with magic from up to 12 tiles away. Protect from Melee and Protect from Magic only reduce these hits by about a third.
- Do not stand under it: it stomps players who are inside it for up to 51.
- Its splash attack lands near you and splits into smaller splashes. They hit anyone standing on or next to them for up to 20 (the first splash) or 15 (the smaller ones), and prayers do not block them, so step away.
- If every player leaves the cave, it heals back to full and the damage dealt is reset, so finish the kill before you go to bank.
- A Corporeal Killer scroll gives 10% better accuracy and damage against the Corporeal Beast for one hour.
- Type ::dropbonus to see your current drop rate bonus. A donator rank, the Monster slayer clan perk, a Collector's ring and the Voting bonus all improve the rates above. The Wilderness skull bonus does not apply here.
