Smoke devils are monsters found only in the two Slayer caves, the Slayer Cave and the Divine Slayer Cave. They are combat level 160. Krystilia can assign them as a Slayer task once you have level 93 Slayer. You do not need a Slayer level to attack them; the level only matters for getting the task. Smoke devils attack with ranged, but they keep walking up to you while they attack, so a group of them bunches up around you like melee monsters.

Slayer

• Task: Smoke Devil, 90–150 kills, or 80–200 if you pick it with a Choose Wisely scroll (see Scrolls). See Slayer tasks for the full list.
• Slayer level to get the task: 93
• Slayer experience per kill on task: 750 (before the Slayer XP boosts). Kills off task give no Slayer experience.
• Task teleports (with an enchanted gem): the Slayer Cave (level 30, multi); the Divine Slayer Cave (level 38, multi; Divine Donator only). Smoke devils only live in the caves, so there is no teleport to the open Wilderness.
• With the Bigger and Badder unlock, a Nuclear smoke devil can appear when you kill one on task. It is a superior version worth 12,000 Slayer experience.

Drops

PK points from monsters on your Slayer task go straight to your inventory. Larran's keys only drop while you are on this task. With a Slayer ring equipped they go straight to your inventory too. A kill that drops an Occult necklace gives no PK points.
